An earthenware open censer or vase, of Taiko Drum form. Produced by the Chin Jukan studio. 1868 - 1912, late 19th century.

The body depicting native flora, with birds in flight overhead. Decoration applied using various tones of enamel and gilt detailing. The sides of the drum with an ornately reticulated geometric motif.
